What are Maintenance Kits? A maintenance kit contain a fusing assembly, rollers, and separation pads that frequently wear out in printers. The fusing assembly is the component that bonds toner to paper through a combination of heat and pressure. To ensure optimum print quality, the printer provides a prompt to perform routine maintenance every 200,000 pages (default setting). If the display panel on your HP LaserJet reads "perform printer maintenance" / "perform user maintenance" or anything along those lines it means your printer needs a preventative maintenance kit.
